Delete Your Account
You can ask us to close your The Classy Home account and delete the personal data held against it at any time. You do not need to be signed in to make the request, and you do not need to give a reason.
How to delete your account
From the mobile app
Open The Classy Home app, go to the Account tab, and choose Delete your account. We email a confirmation code to the address on the account; enter it and the account is closed straight away. This is the fastest route, and it confirms the request is really coming from you.
By email
Email [email protected] from the address on the account, with Account deletion request as the subject. If you no longer have access to that address, write from any address and include enough detail for us to identify the account — a past order number is ideal.
We will confirm by reply once the account is closed. Please allow up to 30 days, though in practice it is usually the same or the next business day.
What gets deleted
Closing your account removes, from your account record:
- your name and email address;
- your phone number;
- your billing and shipping addresses;
- your saved items and wish list;
- any unspent Classy Rewards points;
- your ability to sign in, on the website and in the app.
Reviews and questions you have posted publicly are removed or dissociated from your name.
What we have to keep, and why
If you have ordered from us, we are required to keep the records of that sale — the invoice, what was bought, what was paid and where it was delivered. Accounting and tax law requires it, and we cannot delete it on request. Those records are retained for the period the law requires and are not used to market to you.
We do not keep your password. We do not store full payment card numbers on your account for you to reuse.
Before you delete
Deletion cannot be undone, and we cannot restore an account afterwards. If you have unspent Classy Rewards points you may want to use them first, because they are lost when the account closes. If you only want to stop hearing from us, you can unsubscribe from our emails instead and keep the account.
